There is absolutely no conspiracy involved in 9/11. A whole section of humanity is absolutely outraged at what the USA does to the Middle East and North Africa; the Muslim lands in particular. The outrage increases at the absolutely ridiculous excuses endlessly churned out by the political establishment and mass media.

Lacking any materialist understanding and rejecting any explanation that places the blame where it truly belongs; with the mode of production that accords enormous profits and privileges to an ever diminishing elite of capitalist/imperialist billionaires, they blame the entire populations of the imperialist countries; why do they believe the lies of these billionaires and their lackeys in the mass media, why do they elect these corrupt and lying politicians? They are equally guilty and moreover they are softer targets, we will at least wreck some measure of revenge on them, and if our acts are outrageous enough and frequent enough they will reject these politicians and eventually concede some measure of relief to us.

The opposite mind-set to the imperialist ideology and its ‘peace, democracy and justice’ bullshit whilst they are raining death and destruction from the skies on hundreds of thousands of the world’s poorest. Only it is the justified outrage of the oppressed as opposed to the outrage of the oppressor, one violence is that of the slave and the other is that of the slave-owner. One is progressive, no matter how distorted its actions are, and must never be ‘condemned’, imperialism is the violence that holds the whole planet, or almost the whole planet, in thrall, and that violence can never be supported by serious Marxists in any circumstances. That is the dilemma the conspiracy theorists seek to avoid.

That is the entirely understandable motivation for 9/11 and suicide bombers. You may object that it is entirely counter-productive for their case and has so much the opposite effect that sure the CIA did it, knowing the great damage it would do to the grievances they wish to redress? And very often the secret services of imperialist powers know what is planned and either let it go ahead or facilitate it, knowing the political effect it will have in further alienating the working class of the USA and Western Europe to the cause of the oppressed Arab nation and others.

But not understanding the mind-cast of the 9/11 hijackers, refusing to examine the causes that drove them on and still drives the likes of ISIS means you can never tackle the problems as serious Marxists.

And the collapse of the Twin Towers is entirely due to the planes that crashed into them, it is entirely understandable for anyone who has any training in structural engineering and there are plenty such engineers who have taken the trouble to explain it in detail on-line to even the most uneducated in these matters who wants to engage in this task. They, and the other building No. 7, collapsed the way they did because of the way they were constructed, a method that will never be used again because of its vulnerability to planes crashing into them and causing them to collapse catastrophically, amazingly.

That not too difficult to understand, is it? Examine the political and social problems revealed by the 9/11 incident and set yourself the task of solving them, defeating and overthrowing global imperialism/capitalism. And give over all the ridiculous conspiracy theory nonsense.

  1. We don’t know what happened on 9/11. The “no planes” or “controlled demolition” absurdities have distracted attention from the real murkiness of the events. Too much information remains classified to reach firm conclusions. A workers movement would demand opening the books and an impartial investigation of the facts.

It isn’t out of the question that Israel and/or Saudi ruling-class elements colluded with sections of the U.S. inner state to produce the events – perhaps by nonfeasance more than misfeasance. The best reason for suspicion is applying the “who benefited” critierion. 9/11 created mass hysteria favorable to the security state and imperialist adventure.
