Here is the recording of the fourth of Socialist Fight’s class series on What is Trotskyism, which took place on 23 August.

This covers Trotskyism during and after the Second World War; the post-war disorientation leading to the collapse into varied forms of centrism in the late 40s and early 1950s; the split in the Fourth International, and the varied responses to this disorientation and social pressure. These led to so-called in 1963 ‘reununification’ on a basis that contained some fundamental breaks with Trotskyism. Originally intended to cover the whole period up to the collapse of the USSR, we felt this was too ambitious for one session, so split the material at the mid point of the 1960s.
