They have been trying to get Bus Eireann drivers for decades and failed. The unions fought there, unlike the TGWU in London in 1993-4 when they just rolled over.
But this is a very serious assault. The whole labour movement must back the drivers here.

Socialist Fight 
In relation to the Bus Éireann Dispute, I’m afraid that the Irish trade union leaders’ betrayals have put the members in a difficult situation. Bus éireann is now classified as a fully commercial company in competition with private operators. Under Eu and IrishLaw it cannot be subsidised!!!!
